For those of you who do not know what a “bumbo” is, I will give you an explanation before I go any further with this post. A “bumbo” is a seat that some very smart person has developed to help babies learn to sit up on their own. They didn’t have this nifty invention when Ashton was a baby so this is new for us.
Anyway, Landry has gotten pretty good at holding her head up so we thought this would be a good thing to help her sit up (we used a round laundry basket for Ashton). My oh my.... how things change in 5 years!
Ashton was a great big sister and chose the color of the bumbo…this was VERY exciting. We actually made two trips to Target before the actual purchase. When we got there, there were two different kinds and I didn’t know which one to get so I had to research before I bought. We decided on the Bumbo rather than the Bebe Pod.
We bought it on Wednesday after school and Ashton was dying to put Landry in it, but Bobby wasn’t home (and didn’t get home until around 9:00) and I didn’t want to do it without him so we had to wait until Thursday after Ashton’s dance class. This was torture for Ashton.
Landry likes it…only she can’t sit in it for very long (a few minutes maximum) because that head of hers get too heavy for her little neck after a while and she lets it fall. She looks so small in this big seat but she will grow into it.
