Anyway back to the title of this post. Ashton has been on this kick where she wants her and Landry to have their outfits match every single day. This is not an easy task since Ashton and Landry's sizes are so far apart... not to mention that Landry is not really wearing very many outfits yet. She is still in newborn clothes and I didn't buy many of that size since I thought she wouldn't be in them long.
Let's back up to President's Day when we decided to put Landry in her Florida State shirt and take her picture. I dressed her in her FSU shirt, black pants and pink socks (so she would look like a girl). As I am getting Landry dressed, Ashton goes off to her room to get dressed. A few minutes later she comes running out very excited yelling..."Mommy I match my sister!" She had put on her FSU shirt, black pants and pink socks! It was very cute...I wasn't quick enough with the camera. I wanted to fix Ashton's hair first and by that time Landry was asleep. So every weekend since then, Ashton tries her hardest to find something in her closet that will match her sister (so stinkin sweet...I just love it!) or at least have the same colors.
Earlier this week I was able to "coordinate" the outfits and take a picture. I am quickly learning that is nearly impossible to get a 5 year old and an almost 2 month old to cooperate at the same time in order to get a good picture!
Anyway...here is the picture (they are both actually looking at the camera)

I love the picture, Landry looks so alert! Tell Wyatt to stay home so you can blog more often.
Gosh...Landry has changed her looks so much since last month! Thank you for the "Ashton has a baby sister" announcement, I took it to work just so I could show off my gorgeous nieces (plus I LOVE that picture!)I remember Mom matching mine & Heather's outfits for pictures when we were little. Ashton sounds like the perfect big sister.
Methinks that Ashton likes it for now but wait until Landry gets older and wants to dress like Ashton. I can just hear it now, "Mommy, Landry's copying me, make her stop." At least you'll have proof that at one time she was OK with it!!!
You have beautiful girls. You've won an award over on my blog. Thank you for the inspiration!
