100th Day and 1 Month

100th Day...

I can't believe that our big girl has been in Kindergarten for 100 days!! Where in the world did the time go...it seems like it wasn't that long ago when she started kindergarten. I feel like things are happening way too fast in our house and I need to find a slow motion button to slow things down just a bit.

Ashton had her second big project to do for school this past weekend. Earlier in the year she had to "disguise" a paper turkey so it wouldn't be hunted for Thanksgiving. She decided to make hers into a princess. Surprise, Surprise!!

So...for the 100th day she had to collect 100 of something and display it however she wanted. As you will see, she chose pennies. She wanted to paint her poster pink and put glitter on it to make it sparkle...that is so typical of her personality. Two of her favorite things are pink and sparkles! So she did the painting, sprinkling of glitter, cutting of the numbers and title and putting her pennies on, then she went to town with glitter glue. She was very proud of herself and her project...I only had to supervise and help with the hot glue. This was an Ashton and Mommy project that was a lot of fun to do! Today was the 100th day and they did many fun things at school to celebrate! For her the best part was the "100 goodies" snack and the 100 cheerio necklace.

One Month...

Not only has our big girl been in school for 100 days but our baby girl is one month old today! She went to the doctor yesterday for her check up and she weighs a whole 7 pounds and 5 ounces...and she is 20 inches long now. Even though her weight only puts her in the 10th percentile her doctor is very happy with how much she has gained since birth. She still has a slight bit of jaundice but as long as she doesn't turn more yellow she is good to go. It can take up to 8 weeks to be completely gone. She is becoming much more alert and she is awake for longer periods of time. She slept so much today that it was hard for us to get a one month picture of her. I had to take this one just before her bath and I had to wake her up to do it so she isn't quite awake.
