Polar Express Pajama Party

Yesterday, we took advantage of a fun little winter event that the Frisco Discovery Center puts on every year. We went with a few of our neighbors and Landry even saw her best bud...Reesey P!

The Polar Express is one of our favorite holiday stories to read and we were pretty excited when we found out we could buy tickets for the Polar Express Pajama Party in Frisco.

We got the girls all bathed and cozy in their jammies and loaded them up and headed out the door.

They both LOVE to be in their jammies, so the night was already off to a great start!

{I had to add this picture because our sneaky little elf...Elfy...was hiding IN the fireplace!}

To start things off, we waited in line to walk out and go inside a real 100 year old passenger train. My girls have only ever been on trains at the zoo (and let's face it, those aren't anything close to real trains) so this was  a pretty cool experience. They got to see what things looked like that long ago...they were in awe!

After we finished on the historic train, we entered the Polar Express Pajama Party.  As they entered, snow danced down from the ceiling bringing about lots of oooohs and ahhhs! Ashton was so cute holding Landry's and Wyatt's hands.

The "snow" was actually bubbles but it was still fun for the kids!

Decorating your own cookie...yes please!!

Dinner at various places around the world...Ashton and Kate had their dinner in Paris!

Landry and Natalie!

Musical Instruments...ummmm right up Landry's alley! She was in heaven and tested each and every single one of them! She is not my shy child!

She waltzed right up on the stage to sing Christmas Carols..again, not the shy one in the family!

Face Painting...that is always fun!

It was not quite what we expected...after all the fun they were going to play the movie. When we saw the set up for the movie, we knew the kids wouldn't be able to see and they wouldn't be comfy so we bolted and had everyone come to our house to watch the movie. The kids snuggled upstairs and the parents hung out downstairs and chatted. It was a much better way to end the night than if we had stayed.

I am glad we went this year, because I am not sure how much Ashton would have enjoyed going next year as a super cool middle schooler.
