The tools teachers use these days are much different from when I taught.
Ashton's math teacher uses something called Schoology where she can create videos of her teaching a lesson. The kids can view these videos as often as they want/need to. Sometimes the videos are assigned with an online quiz. They are also a fantastic resource for us as parents because the methods they use are not the same as when we were in fifth grade.
One afternoon when Ashton was watching a set of videos on comparing fractions for an online quiz, I decided to snap a few pictures to document another "everyday" moment in our lives.
While Big Sis is doing her homework, Lil Sis is usually found somewhere doing her own kind of homework. On this particular day, she decided the floor in my office was the best place to work. I hope she is this good about doing homework when she actually has real homework! For now, I love seeing her copy what her favorite person does.

that video things is SO CRAZY to me! can't believe how things change every year!
ps...i'm not a bit surprised that the little one is copying the big one! ;)
