In addition to waiting patiently for her turn to bring the Mystery Bag home, Landry has also been anxiously and patiently waiting for her turn to be the Star Student of the Week.
On Friday, when I picked her up from school she was over the moon excited because her turn finally came! She talked non-stop the entire way home telling me all about what she was supposed to do. We barely made it in the house before she was digging for the paper in her backpack to show me. It was absolutely precious seeing her so excited.
We spent the weekend looking through pictures and she picked out the ones she wanted to use. She colored her name and put the stickers on her poster all by herself.
We filled out her questionnaire...and here are her answers in case they are difficult to read.
My favorite color is turquoise.
My favorite book is Knufflebunny.
My favorite movie is Ramona & Beezus (she says Ma-rona and Beezus).
My favorite sport is swimming.
My favorite food is mac-n-cheese.
My favorite school subject is writing.
My favorite thing to do after school is to go home and put my pj's on.
When I grow up, I want to be a fire fighter with my cousin Parker.
I'll bet you didn't know that I can tie my shoes.
All ready to take her poster to school and share it with her class!
This girl was in the mood for some pictures...she asked me to take a few more of her. What a hoot! I will never turn down a request from one of my children to take more pictures!
We love that she was so excited by this project and we are so proud of the effort she put into helping with it. She even wanted to write all of her answers on the paper and it took quite of bit of convincing for her to let me do the writing. She watched me closely to make sure I was writing what she was saying.
