Our Labor Day weekend had us at the ball field for Ashton's first softball tournament as a select player. Boy Howdy was it different! We saw first hand the difference between recreational softball and competitive select softball. They were thrown in with a lot of changes...rules they had never played with before and many more games than she has ever played in one day. She handled it like a champ even though her head (and ours) was spinning. It was A LOT to take in!
After we were finished with the ball games, Ashton and Landry decided to work on a "project" together.
These two girls want a dog really, really, really bad. It doesn't matter how many times we explain the reasons why now is not a good time for us to get a dog, they still try their best to convince us otherwise. They spent two hours putting together a Power Point Presentation with research and all!
It melted my heart to see them working so hard and together on this project. They were bursting with pride when they presented it to us. It was absolutely adorable! Unfortunately, it didn't sway us into to deciding to get a dog, but it did help us learn more about that particular breed. We will hold onto this power point and bust it out when the time comes for us to get a dog.
