We now have a new addition to our family...and he belongs 100% to Ashton!
This girl has wanted a pet for a looooooong time! She decided she wanted to use her birthday money to buy her own pet...one that she would be totally responsibe for.
I am so proud of how much thought, research and effort she put into what type of fish would be best, and what all she needed in order to care for it properly.
After doing the research and presenting us with her plans, we took this girl to BUY HER OWN FISH!!
She was so cute in Petco...asking the very sweet man working there all of her questions and choosing all the right equipment. The smile on her face was priceless as we walked out of the store!
Once we got home, she immediately went into "set up mode".
She read every single word of every single direction very carefully.....
...and followed every single instruction. She did an awesome job and we just supervised and of course took pictures to document this monumental occasion!
Once her fish was all squared away, she found the perfect spot for him in her room.
She wasn't quite sure what she wanted to name him so she enlisted the help of family and friends via email.
After several very cute names, and after a few days of having no name then changing his name, she finally settled on his name....
CHILI PEPPER!
Our Big Girl marked on her calendar when he needed to be fed and when his water needed to be changed. She is loving her new little pet, and she is doing a marvelous job taking care of him!
