Today my handsome hubs had his 39th birthday! The main thing he wanted to do for his birthday was play a round of golf with his dad and bros. Unfortunately, it was pouring down rain but they were determined to not let something like rain keep them from their golf game.
{I know they don't really love posing for a picture as they are about to leave, but they all humor me and give into my request, which I greatly appreciate!}
These crazy kids....I am not sure where we got them and I have no idea which of them was the ring leader. I was getting dressed when this funny business occurred. I am glad Mamo grabbed my camera and captured it! Mamo was passing out the the goodies she got everyone in England when they were there in June. Next thing she knows, the kids had them on their heads backwards!
The weather totally stunk! Mamo, Aunt Marie, and I had planned on taking the kids and heading to the lake as soon as we got ready and the guys were going to meet us there after golf...but since it was raining in Huntsville and at the lake, we decided to stay here.
The rain and mud proved to be a little much for the guys, so they called it a day after a few holes. We were impressed they even made the attempt...they were disappointed because they had been looking forward to this golf game for a while!
The girls convinced Mamo to let them get crafty with her Cricut machine...they went to town and spent hours creating all kinds of fun things out of paper!
I love that Ashton and Peyton dressed themselves alike...and I am also impressed they both packed that outfit! Please pardon the blurry iphone picture...at least I documented their cuteness!
Even though the girls had taken over the kitchen with all their crafty fun, Marie and I were able to make two batches of banana pudding (one sugar free and one fully loaded) since that is what the birthday boy requested instead of cake or cupcakes. Susan came up with the idea to put the B-Squared on the fully loaded cake. I executed her cute and brilliant plan with sprinkles...we were pretty proud of ourselves!
There was a brief break in the rain and leave it to Landry and Cameron to take full advantage of it. Landry was playing "house" with CG which required her to fill her sink with the bubbles so she could do the "dishes"
The girls were tempted by the pool. First Peyton started out with just her legs in the pool, then I told the girls they could get in with their clothes on. Landry was stunned that she was allowed to get in the pool without her swimsuit and sunscreen. In fact, she said "Mommy this is the BEST swimming day ever since I don't have to have sunscreen on!"
They had so much fun playing in the water...

After a yummy dinner we celebrated Bobby's birthday. It is so nice that every once in a while we get to celebrate his birthday with his family in Alabama...and this year he was able to celebrate with his whole family!
We sang to him and let him blow out the candles on his Nana Pudding...
...then he opened his gifts in front of an audience.
{Ashton and Landry made this on the Cricut today}
{he was pretty excited about his Apple TV--I had no idea what it was, I was just happy he asked for something this year. He assures me that I will think it is cool...we'll see.}
His sister and her family have totally hooked him up with golf shirts from the courses in England over the three years they lived there. This was the finale and I am pretty sure it was his fave!
We were bummed we didn't make it to the lake today...this stinking rainy weather really messed up our plans! Oh well, the rain is needed, we only wish it would have waited until our vacay was over. We are hoping the weather clears for the rest of the weekend!
Happy 39th Birthday B-Bryce!
