Bama Vacay :: Day 4

The boys had a morning tee time for a little game of golf...so while they were golfing, us girls hung out in the backyard. The girls played and played in the pool. We literally had to drag them out for some lunch once the boys got home from golf.

I love how they were coordinated even though it wasn't planned!

The afternoon was spent with more swimming  and relaxing in the backyard.

After dinner, Todd had to head back to Tuscaloosa since he is in summer school. Bobby did a little fishing in the pond behind Mamo and Papo's house. The girls desperately wanted to join him, but settled for watching from the backyard fence instead.

My hubs caught a gem of a fish...and let it go as soon as I got a picture.

I am so glad this hot guy is my hubs...even if he is holding a yucky and slimy fish!

The girls helped Papo refill the bird feeders...
...then we went to feed the geese.
I snapped this pretty picture of the sunset as we were walking, and this bird's nest.

This was Landry's first time to be around geese...she's fed many ducks, but never geese.  If you know her, you know she wasn't the least bit afraid of the geese.
The fact that they were honking like crazy didn't concern her one bit...she walked up to them like they were her BFFs!
You see the goose right in front of her? That is the goose she straight up grabbed and tried to pick up! Yes...she grabbed that goose and tried to pick it up!!

Ashton on the other hand, wanted to keep her distance from the geese. She used her softball arm to throw the bread a good safe distance away so the geese wouldn't come near her.
Yup...still keeping them at a distance!

After trying to pick up the goose, and all of us freaking out, she decided it might be better to just pet it! Oh my-lanta...this child is going to make me old well before my time!!

It was a delightful evening, and an interesting one at that. We hope we can come back and feed the geese again before we leave! Hopefully this time, there won't be any goose grabbing or petting involved!
