WHS Softball Camp

Now that summer has arrived, it means the girls each get to choose two camps to attend. Ashton's are both softball camps--surprise, surprise. The first one was the camp at Wakeland HS (the high school she will go to) with the Wolverine softball coach and players. To say she was excited and little nervous was a HUGE understatement!

Monday was the first night of the camp so after dinner and a popsicle, I did the "Brittany Mack Hair-Do" per Ashton's request and she was good to go. June is an exciting month for softball. The Women's College World Series and NCAA playoffs are going on so they have been airing all the games on ESPN. Ashton has watched every single one she has been home for and has wanted to record them when we weren't home. Brittany Mack is one of the many players with this single french braid hair-do and my girls named it the "Brittany Mack Hair-Do".  Softball is definitely her "thing" and I love sitting with her and watching the games with her.

It was nearly impossible to take pictures of our softball player at camp so I snapped a few at the house...

She was pretty proud of her t-shirt...and when I asked her give me a little something for the camera, this is the pose she busted out...what a crazy and silly girl!
{I really think she wanted to show off that she painted her nails to match her shirt}

I asked her to try again...and this was much better!

She had a great time at camp and learned some new things. She was pretty excited to have the chance to get to know some of the Wakeland Players and to work with the coach. She said she wants to go to this camp every year until she is on the team at Wakeland!!
