spring break :: day five

This is what we woke up to on Day Five...
...SUNSHINE!!

We had nothing else planned for the day but to hang out on the beach!
We set up our spot on the beach (this is the view from our condo), had a picnic lunch, and just hung out the entire day!
This is our condo view from the beach...we we were on the right side on the 8th floor.
The sun hid for a little bit and left us with some clouds and fog...but our umbrellas were awesome!

We even had a friendly game of beach softball going and ended up having two girls and their dad join in on the fun!

Landry isn't quite big enough to play beach softball with the big kids yet, so she and I played in the sand instead. She liked playing with the sand toys and the sand, but DID NOT like having the sand on her hands.

I love this handsome man!
Mr. Duane let Landry do her own version of boogey boarding. She giggled and squealed the entire time!

The girls did a little kite flying.

After a fun day at the beach, it was time to get ready for a very special 10th birthday party for Kaitlyn. Her birthday was the day before we headed to the beach so she decided she wanted to have her party at the beach with her BFFs.
(those peanut butter and chocolate Bugles are the best things ever. I discovered those babies at Wal Mart while we were there. And if you know me, you know I will eat pretty much anything that is chocolate and peanut butter!)

Christine planned a very cute beach themed party for the birthday girl...
We sang to her with sparklers for her candles...and the sandcastle cake was delish and so cute!

After dinner, cake and presents we left Maddy and Ashton with the Gees for a slumber party.

Since this Little Sisser was so sad to be without her Sisser, we took her on a night walk on the beach with her flashlight. She was pumped and it totally distracted her from missing Ashton.

She saw a few crabs, and collected some pretty shells on our walk.

It was a great day and we couldn't wait for more beach time!
