We have had quite the week around here so far.
You know what is really hard? When the Mommy in the house is sick....stuck in bed and can't move sick. Yepper...that is what happened to this momma and I am so proud of my hubs and the girls. They are rocking along and taking good care of me and each other.
Let's back up to Monday. It was a very normal day. I got the girls off to school, went to the gym, ran a few errands, and went about my day like I always do. After dinner, Daddy went to watch Alabama play LSU in the BCS championship game at Mr. Scott's house with his buds. I took the girls upstairs to watch a little bit of the game before it was time for bed. I put away some laundry...everything was fine and very normal. I still felt totally and completely fine.
I got the girls all tucked into bed, and went downstairs at just after 8:00. I sat down at the computer and after a few minutes felt cold...this isn't unusual at all because I am very cold natured anyway. After a few minutes of me starting to shiver, I went and put on some warm fleece pajamas and went back to the computer. Still shivering and not getting any warmer, I went and got in our bed under the down duvet and watched the game.
After about 30 minutes of my entire body shivering, teeth chattering and that point my chest was hurting, I texted Bobby. He came home, walked into our room and decided he needed to take me to the ER. Luckily for us, Mr. Bill had been watching the game too and he wasn't that far away so he came over and sat with the girls.
By the time we got to the ER, it was extremely painful to breathe. It felt like someone was on my chest with either a knee or an elbow. I have a pretty high pain tolerance and I was hurting! They did a bunch of tests and determined that I had pneumonia! What? How in the world did I have that....I didn't have any symptoms at all. The doctor said that it actually comes on quick like that more than people realize.
So as we were sitting in the ER (not being able to watch the game, but thanks to modern technology, BB could keep up with it on his phone) having a breathing treatment, my hubs snapped a picture to document.
In case you were wondering, I am a wearing a tank top and just have the blanket pulled up to keep me warm.
I am following the doctor's orders and staying in bed...this is the second full day and already I am going a little crazy. Bobby is able to work from home and keep the house running. He is taking care of the girls' every need. He is preparing meals, getting them to school, doing homework, getting them to dance and zumba, taking them on play dates and he's out right now helping Landry ride her bike.
We are so thankful for our friends offering to step in and help when we need it. We were both pretty freaked out on Monday night. I am a healthy person and rarely (knocking on wood right now) get sick.
I have the BEST husband, friends and family in the world! We appreciate all the texts, phone calls, and offers to help. Hopefully I will be able to get better pretty quickly!
The best part about Monday was that Bama won...Roll Tide!!
