On Friday, our Big Girl came home with a super fun and different kind of weekend homework assignment. She was busting at the seams when we got home from school...she immediately started reciting every single detail about what she was supposed to do with her writing journal.
The assignment: to cover her composition notebook with duct tape and decorate it to fit HER. So on Saturday, off to the store we went to get the necessary supplies. She had a plan in her mind and it didn't change much when she saw the many choices of duct tape available. They have TONS of fun colors and designs these days.
So yesterday, she and I got busy designing HER writing journal.
Here is the finished product...she was so proud!!

She was so tickled with it when it was all finished and she said that it would make her happy to look at it every time she wrote in it. These are the kinds of weekend homework assignments she LOVES!
