June Randoms

...JUNE RANDOMS...

We spent most of the week before we actually moved-in at the house getting the "prep" stuff done. We brought Landry's things to entertain her since Sisser was at school. I just couldn't resist this picture!!

The last night in the apartment...the girls slept together on Landry's mattress on the floor.

The Mavs WON the NBA Championship!!! It was a huge deal here and way too hot so  we watched the parade on tv!

Ashton got this chair and canopy for Christmas and hadn't been able to use it until we moved into the new house. This was the FIRST thing she wanted set up! She is in LOVE with it!!

Landry had been playing with her baby, she came and asked me to take a picture of her and her baby! I am loving the picture requests from the 3 year old!

When school is out and Ashton's dance recital is over, that means it is time for summer haircuts. The lady who cut Landry's hair had fun doing this do!  Landry enjoyed the glitter star way more than anything else!

Speaking of summer haircuts...Ashton whacked off 4 inches!! She is in L-O-V-E with her new do!

The picture above and the picture below need an explanation. In our master bedroom we have a niche that was made for our armoire. Bobby gave our measurements to the builder...but he also forgot to take into account that you need to add a few inches to compensate for drywall, carpet, carpet padding, etc. So when the guys were trying to get it moved in...it wouldn't fit! It was off by just a smidge. Bobby and Bill tried a variety of things and none worked. So as last resort they carried the top of our armoire out into the front yard and used a planer to scrape the wood down so it would fit. This is what our neighbors saw us doing on the day we moved in. NICE!

It worked and they managed to get it in...lesson learned and it's a good thing we are planning on living here forever!!

We had a special visit from Grammy! She had to come up to Dallas unexpectedly for a funeral and she stayed with us.
