4th of July 2011

We love the 4th of July here in the Bryce house. We love hosting the get together with our friends and watching the fireworks from our street. This year we had even more fun things to be excited about on this Independence Day.

First up on our weekend...the Olsons came to visit!! We love when they come and we especially love it when they stay with us. We absolutely could not wait for them to get here.  Sadly, I was so excited hanging with them and chatting that I totally didn't take any pictures while they were here! {That seems to be happening a lot lately.} The weird thing is that Kynda is a photographer and she usually has her camera out just as much as I do, but I don't remember her taking any pictures either.

So since the Olson's were here, we knew we wanted to have a Crew shin-dig so everyone could visit. We planned it for Sunday since the Olsons were heading home on Monday.

The only pictures I did take were of the girls in their 4th of July gear and the rest of the pictures are once again courtesy of Miss Jodi. (Thank You Miss Jodi)

It was so nice because we had everyone here except Miss Victoria and The Tripster. They were in Houston because Miss Victoria's sister was getting ready to have a baby.

We had water balloons in the backyard for the kiddos to play with....
Macy, Merran, Ashton, Anna, Landry, and Carly--those girls crack me up with their sassy poses!

Let the WET FUN begin!!

It didn't take them long to go through the pre-filled tub of water balloons...bummer!

Miss Gina and I started filling and tying more balloons for the kids to keep the fun going a little longer.

Daddy was the most handsome Grill Master for our shin-dig. He grilled up some delish grilled chicken sandwiches and hot dogs!
We eventually ran out of water balloons so the kids turned to the hose. Allie decided to skip the hose and just enjoy the watermelon.

After the kids played outside, and the did some 4th of July crafts, it was time for the kids to go upstairs and watch a movie while the grown ups enjoyed each others' company. We had a good time catching up and hanging out...even if there weren't any fireworks!

On Monday, the actual 4th of July, we went to Miss Gina's house to party a little bit more. We didn't take any pictures, but Miss Jodi got a few of the fireworks.
It was a great weekend...Happy July 4th!!
