Inclusion Week for ARB

Throughout the course of the year, Ashton's school does some awesome things to celebrate and teach the kids various lessons. One of the newest programs they have is "Inclusion Week". This program was started last year and I am so glad they continued it this year. "FISD joined thousands of students, families, and educators in schools and communities in every state as well as several foreign countries as they celebrated Inclusion Week."

Her school came up with some fun themed days to support Inclusion.

Monday-- Warm up to a new friend...
...wear warm ups!

Tuesday --We are all UNIQUE
...wear crazy socks, hat or a unique outfit!
{this hairdo is not one of my faves....I actually am not a fan at all.  She knew she was wearing the Santa hat and she wanted her down and wavy. She was all shades of excited that I let her pick the do-she rarely wears it all down so this was a bonus for her}
Wednesday--I am "Blue"-tiful...
...wear your favorite shade of blue!

Thursday--Don't Hide. Be Yourself...
... wear camouflage!

Friday--Carroll Unity Day...
... wear your Carroll Spirit Wear!
{Today was also the day that the third graders performed @ FML so she also had to dress in western attire for the performance, plus she also donated money for St. Jude's so she was able to wear slippers and holiday socks. We had a lot going on in the wardrobe department today!}

In addition to not only having fun with the themed week, Ashton also learned from this. Her counselor did some special lessons and I truly enjoyed the conversations we had at home about what she was learning.

{I am really over the horrible pictures I am taking these days....I really should give up trying to make my pictures look like I actually know what I am doing.  I might just start shooting in Auto...at least my pictures will be half way decent then!  And maybe then I will be somewhat satisfied...then again maybe not. I am pretty sure my girls won't care how the pictures look when they are older.}
