Today we started our busy weekend with a super cute and fun Dance Party honoring Carly Anne Leonard. She is turning FIVE tomorrow (same day as Parker turns 3) and her party was today. The girls were both pretty pumped about this one...they both love to dance and they thought it was such a neat theme.
Miss Jodi did a FANTASTIC job planning this from start to finish (she is really good at stuff like this) and it was all so adorable! There were disco balls hanging from the light fixtures, silver curly ribbon adorned all around, and the furniture was cleared out to make room for all the kiddos and for some dancing!

There was a cute little craft set up for the kids when they got there....Ashton and Macy loved it and Landry, well she loved it at the beginning but once she colored her ballerina green she was ready to move on to the dancing. Carly LOVES to be crafty and LOVES to color so this was right up her alley!
The Birthday Girl
One of the perks of this party was that the girls were supposed to come dressed in their dance gear. At this point, Landry's dance attire consists of Ashton's hand-me-down recital outfits and a few of Ashton's hand-me-down dance skirts. It was way too cold for her to wear the outfit she wanted so in compromising, I told her she could choose whatever else she wanted to wear. She came up with her leotard, pink ballet skirt and sparkly shoes. She was THA-rilled to wear this outfit out of the house and to Carly's party!
Once all of the Birthday Girl's guests arrived and the special guest arrived, it was time for the girls to get their groove on. Miss Jodi had asked Miss Taylor from Prodigy to come by and teach the girls a routine. Our girls are quite familiar with Miss Taylor and they LOVE her so this was just another perk of the party. And the song Carly chose was "Party in the USA" which is a fave in our house too so the girls were even more PUMPED! So many exciting things at this party.
Landry wanted to be right next to Carly...so close in fact that a couple of times Carly had a hard time dancing with her side kick glued to her hip.
Miss Taylor rocked the dance party, the kids did a great job of learning the routine Miss Taylor choreographed for the them and they LOVED performing for the parents.
The Birthday Girl had that smile plastered all over her sweet face the entire time and having Miss Taylor at her party was the icing on the cupcake!
Speaking of cupcakes, after the dancing it was time to let the birthday girl make her wish.
See....the perma-grin still all over her face.....love it!

...even blowing out her candles there was that precious smile on her face!
And then it was time to open her loot from her friends. She is so much fun to watch when she opens her presents....she smiles and loves everything!
I can't remember who gave her these super cute gold glitter sunglasses but they were too cute on her! I think she even wore them for the remainder of the party....this girl is a hoot!
seriously....that girl is so cute and funny and we can't believe she is FIVE!
Mr. Bill snapped this picture of Landry...what a cute little stinker!
Somehow as the party was winding down, a conga line broke out!
Miss Jodi snapped a couple of pictures of the group....this silly face pic was way better than the regular one. A few of Carly's peeps were missing, but everyone had a great time!
All of these pictures are once again courtesy of Miss Jodi. I brought my camera, but for some reason I didn't take very many pictures and the few that I did take weren't any good. I guess I was having too much fun chatting, and watching the kids.
We had a great time celebrating Carly's FIFTH birthday {I am not sure how that is even possible} and it was such an awesome party. The most important part was that Carly had a total blast!
Happy Birthday Carly!
