Since Mamo and Papo were leaving on Tuesday afternoon right after Ashton got home from school and since Ashton didn't get to see Papo much on Monday (seeing has how she was at school all day then he went to the Rangers game with Daddy) we decided to surprise her for a little extra QT with the grandparents.
We picked her up from school at lunch time and we headed out for a little lunch date at Pei Wei. She had no idea we were picking her up early and she was super excited.
While we were at lunch, we had a showing scheduled so we needed to be out of the house for a while. So we headed to the mall for a little dessert and a carousel ride.
The girls had a blast on the carousel...
And after the ride was over, the girls convinced Daddy to get a cookie....
...and then we found a spot over by the ice rink and watched the skaters practice.
After Landry devoured her cookie, she also convinced her Papo to share his ice cream with her. He just can't say no to his granddaughters...especially on the day he is leaving to go back home.
We all enjoyed our bonus afternoon...we even got an added bonus because as it turned out, the weather wasn't so great so their flight was delayed a bit! I know it meant for a longer evening for them but we loved having the extra Mamo and Papo time.
It was an awesome visit...we can't wait to see them again soon!

i LOVE that you ignored your "former teacher instinct" and pulled ashton outta school! the perfect surprise afternoon for everyone! :) LOVE all the pics!
I loved being pulled out of school for random surprises...especially hanging out with the grandparents :) how fun is that!!
