Our FIRST live parade

Yesterday we took the girls to do something they have never done before and I think it might just become a family tradition now.  We all had such a fantastic time at the City of Frisco's Veteran's Day Parade.

The girls have seen parades on TV before, but never in "real live person". I tried to take a ton of pix but between watching the parade, watching the girls, and being the candy holder I didn't get as many as I wanted. I did however get some to document this special "first" for our family.

We had a front row seat right at the corner of Main and Frisco...we were up close and personal...it was so cool! What a great way for the girls to experience their first ever live parade! They loved seeing the people, waving, and getting candy handed to them by the various members of the parade!

There were tons of cars with Vets in them, tons of flags, and old cars, all the high schools in the area had people and mascots in the parade, high school marching bands, boy scouts, and the list goes on. Tons of brownie troops marched in the parade even the one with Ashton's buds was there.

The girls loved it...LP was completely in love with the marching bands....I mean in love! Those bands made her entire day and she talked about them non-stop. Ashton loved everything about it other than it being a little bit chilly!

After the parade, we went out for some lunch at a new burger joint in town called The Burger Girl...the best part of their lunch was the ice cream cone that came with their kids meals!

We had such a great time and we will be at the parade again next year. It was such a neat memory for all of us and a special way of recognizing all of our Frisco Veterans!

How cool is that! I think the only live parade I've ever seen was at Disney World...as a teenager! boo! You got more great pics than you think :)
