Painting Pumpkins

When Landry went to the Big Orange Pumpkin Patch with her friends last week, she was able to bring home two pumpkins. They were not pumpkins big enough to carve so I decided to let the girls do a little Pumpkin Painting.

We busted out the paints and paintbrushes and let the girls have at their pumpkins.  They both LOVE to paint and they were beyond tickled to paint their little pumpkins. Landry's goal was to use every single color on the table, while Ashton knew she wanted to paint a purple witch.

Landry even decided she wanted a face on her pumpkin...she has just gotten down the art of drawing a face, so she likes to draw them on everything she can.

 the
SERIOUS concentration!

and yes....that would paint in Landry's hair!

Here are our Little Picassos'  finished projects...they are completely thrilled with how the pumpkins turned out! Landry decided the more paint the better and I love the little green wart and eyes on Ashton's witch!

This might just need to be a new tradition...it was fun to watch and they had a ball which is what it is all about anyway!
