July 6, 2010

Yesterday was  the day the we got to celebrate our sweet Ashton Raley. Thiswas the day our BG turned EIGHT!

It was a busy day for us....first of all we woke up with her friends at our house from her slumber party so that was a bonus!  After everyone left but Macy, we headed to Landry's swimming lessons.  Miss Jodi and Carly met us there to pick up MG and to watch LP swim.

After Landry's nap and Daddy was home from his meeting, it was time to get the celebrating started!

Daddy and I knew we wanted to get her another game for her DS so I sent him to get it. He came home and told me he made a "Daddy Decision" and picked out The New Super Mario Bros. When she opened it, she was a little confused because it isn't one she had on her list and one she hadn't ever looked at before. Daddy knows his stuff because this is one of her most favorite games!

I love the faces she makes when she is opening presents!

I have a black hat with bling on it and she loves it and always wants to wear it. She is a hat girl and would wear one with every outfit if it was possible. So when I saw this little girl sized hat that was black with bling, I knew she would love it!

Do you think she LOVES the pink lava lamp that Grammy and Grampy gave her? Grammy has a blue one at her house and the last time she was there Ashton was mesmerized by it so my mom immediately thought that would be a great gift for ARB and she was right!

Daddy came home from his meeting with the traditional birthday roses for Mommy and Ashton. A white one for Mommy and a pink one for Ashton. He has given us roses every year just like he did the day she was born. It is such a sweet tradition that we love!

After the festivities at home it was time to head out to a special birthday dinner with friends to celebrate. Ashton chose the restaurant which is a fave for everyone we know!

We brought some cupcakes left from her party so we could celebrate appropriately since Grayson, Anna, and Carly, Miss Gina, Mr. Andrew, and Mr. Bill  weren't at her slumber party!

The Big Kids...
...and the Little Sister!

After dinner and while we were waiting for the Daddies to finish paying, we brought the kids outside where they proceeded to bust out in a Locomotion Train Dance!

Once everyone was outside, it was time for the gifts. Ashton was so thrilled when she opened the box from the Leonard4...it was a matching pair of shorts and a tank top like Macy's.  Ashton fell in love with the outfit and was so excited to once again match Macy!

And the Scheers know this girl to a tee! They gave her a TON of fun cake decorating things.  There was a cake bakery set, a How-To Cakes and Cookies decorating book, and some other fun things too!

We had a perfect 8th birthday celebration  with our fabulous friends family! It wouldn't be the same without them!!
Happy 8th Birthday Ashton!

A special thanks once again to Miss Jodi for being my photographer while we were celebrating at dinner...the pics turned out so fantastic!
