Merry Main Street

Merry Main Street is one of our holiday traditons. It is one of Ashton's favorites which makes me enjoy it that much more. We usually try to go on a weekend when they a ton of fun events planned like horse drawn carriage rides, Santa, snow, tubing just to name a few. Our weekends were pretty busy this month so we had when tonight.

The weather is just what we expect in Texas...the temp was in the 70's and beautiful...we didn't even need coats this year which also meant we didn't need to stop for our traditional "Merry Main Street Starbucks drink".

We had to stop for gas on the way which presented me with the perfect opportunity to check the camera setting for night time pictures...

Ashton is our super sensitive kid to light and sound. I have taken enough pictures of her at night for her to know how BRIGHT the flash is in the dark. She did a mighty fine job of shielding herself.

Gotta get a pic of the youngest Bryce (who doesn't know how bright the flash is yet) too with Daddy as a bonus!

Merry Main Street is what the City of Frisco does to decorate Frisco Square for the holidays. There are a ton of lights that are set to music. We set our radio to the designated station and drive through oooohing and ahhhhing at the gorgeous lights.

Another tradition we have is parking and walking up and down the street and of course taking pictures of our two little girls.

This crazy girl...we all know how much she loves the water. She could not get over the fact that this water had lights in it. She was way more interested in this than anything else. I was afraid to look away or take my hand off of her in fear she would fall or jump in.

We love this tradition...even if we didn't get to do it on a weekend, we still had fun just being together...our little Family of 4. This is something I look forward to each year and hope the girls never get tired of walking around Merry Main Street.
