It's Snowing...It's Snowing...

It has been pretty darn cold here the last few days. We went from a nice and unusually warm November straight into a freezing cold December literally over night.

This morning when Ashton was getting dressed for school she noticed some small white fluffy stuff falling outside. She was just sure it was snow...and it was! The snowflakes were GIANT and so fluffy! Daddy came home from the gym just as excited as we were.

I ran and grabbed the camera {since we aren't sure if this will be the only time we get snow} so I could document this moment!

Ashton asked me if she could still go to school since it was snowing. This was a very good question considering every other time it has snowed, there was usually ice with it and schools were delayed or canceled.

She was so excited to leave the house...I only wished she would've had time to play in the snow a bit. Luckily, the teachers at her school knew they would have a difficult time getting the kids calmed down, so they let the kids go out and "play" in the snow for a few minutes before they began the day. It was fun for her to play out in the snow with her school friends for a change- even if it was just for a few minutes.

Before she headed out the door, I wanted to get a few pics of her all bundled up...

and of course we had to get Lil Sis' pics too...

Landry actually LOVES her hat and her mittens which shocks me!

The snow didn't last long, it was gone by around 9 or so {that is just exactly how I like it and that is why we live in Texas}. I sure hope it snows again...Landry didn't get to go out and play in it and I think she would love it! Plus, I think these two look pretty cute all bundled up and it would be nice for them to wear their rain boots again!

That is so neat that Ashton's teacher let them play in the snow, hoe fun!
