Christmas in Lorena

On Saturday morning we headed down to Lorena to have Christmas with the Bennett/Botts clan. The girls were so excited to see everyone as were we.

Once we rolled into town, we went to Auntie Megan's house first to have lunch and then put Landry and Parker down for their naps. After Landry didn't nap so well, we headed to Grammy and Grampy's house hoping the "No Nap Landry" didn't make her appearance. {Thankfully she didn't it is usually the next day that really gets us}

We were able to visit with Ninny, Great Aunt Becky, Great Uncle Les, Auntie Megan, Uncle Ricci, Parker, Auntie Heather, and the boys. We missed Great Aunt Sara who wasn't able to make it out.

Once again, I did a terrible job of taking pictures. I spent most of my time stuffing my face with my mom's traditional Christmas food and chatting that I hardly picked up my camera. I am so irritated that I didn't do a better job of documenting....I will next time that is for sure!

Once everyone arrived, we opened our gifts. Ashton was pretty excited to get a Zhou Zhou Pet and little tunnel/house thing to go with it-you know this being the gift of the year and all. The double stroller was also a big hit with her. Landry was in little girl heaven with the tons of kitchen accessories.

Ashton spent most of her time playing the Wii with the boys (she loves hanging out with they boys and they do so well with her) and Holly while Landry and Parker play together out amongst the grown folk.
At one point, Landry kept running down the hall to us telling us "I go potty. I go potty." This isn't uncommon. She often tells us she has gone potty and needs her diaper changed so that is what we thought she was talking about. After it continued for several minutes, Aunt Becky finally went back to see what she was talking about. She quickly called out for me to come and see what my daughter was doing. I walked in and this is what I found...
The poor girl was trying to tell me she was going potty on the Froggy Potty that Grammy has for her and Parker when they are ready. We aren't there yet....she kind of thought this was just a neat little chair for her to sit on!
Ninny was loving all the attention from the little ones. Landry had crawled up into "Sweet Ninny's" lap with Parker not too far behind. They were giving her tons of toddler kisses...she was loving it and so were the kiddos!
Landry was a little shy at times...but Uncle Les is smarter than an almost two year old!. Knowing how much Landry loves phones, he pulled out his cell phone and put it on speaker when Aunt Becky called it (from across the room) and talked to Landry and Parker. This is about as close as she would get...but hey she was practically sitting in his lap.

We had a much too short visit with the family and I didn't take enough pictures. We enjoyed seeing everyone and can't wait to see them again soon!

Thanks for hosting us for a Day After Christmas Celebration!
