Surprise!

I love surprises even though they are incredibly hard for me to keep. The more the person is going to love it, the more I want to tell them. Bobby's parents had planned the best surprise of the year for the girls!

Bobby's parents had told Ashton they wanted to come and watch her play softball sometime. She was excited, but didn't think it would really happen especially this season. They asked us to email them her softball schedule and they would try to come for a long weekend. Well, they told us they wanted to come Halloween weekend which was her last game, but they wanted it to be a surprise. Hold on...it gets better! I got an email from her teacher saying that second grade was going to perform at FML on the 30th. Are you kidding me?! Bobby's parents were originally going to come on Friday, but when they found out she was going to perform, they planned on getting in on Thursday night instead.

It just so happened that their flight got in after the girls were already in bed (it ended up being delayed so they didn't get in until midnight)....so when they woke up this morning S-U-R-P-R-I-S-E!

Dang the luck....we didn't get any good of pics of their faces when they came out and saw Mamo and Papo sitting on the couch. These pictures are just as good because you can see the ear to ear smile on Ashton's face that pretty much didn't leave her face all morning!

Landry was asking Papo if he came on an airplane. Mamo told Landry they were coming a few weeks ago when they were talking on the phone. Mamo had to tell someone and she knew Landry wouldn't ruin the surprise. The funny part was that everytime we saw an airplane, she would point and say Mamo? Papo? Airplane?

Of course this is the one morning when Landry woke up earlier than normal. I ran to get her before Ashton woke up because I didn't want Ashton to walk out and see Mamo and Papo before we were ready. Good thing it didn't get ruined!

The looks on their faces were absolutely PRICELESS! They squealed and ran and jumped into their arms and laps for lots of hugs and kisses! After all, it isn't everyday you wake up with your grandparents (who live in Alabama) sitting in your living room!

I have several more posts about our special weekend to come!
