We have a 14 Month Old....

Fourteen months....wow! I don't even know where to begin! Landry has really changed a lot this month {I know I say this every month} and it is amazing to me! Here are some of the things she is doing and learning this month...

*she is talking (actually jibber-jabber with some words) a-lot! She is trying to mimic everything we say these days which is so fun to see her face light up when she says something and we get so excited for her.

*we have found over the last several months that Landry does things when she wants to, not when we want her to. Talking is one of those things. Here are the words she can say {but not always on command}: muh-muh (mommy), dada, a-a-a-a (Ashton), buh (ball), bye-bye, nigh-nigh, nack, Bah (Buster), i (eye), ha (hair), m-m-m (milk), ohhh, uh-oh


*pointing to body parts is another one of those things that we have been working on since well before she turned one, but she does it when she wants to. She can point to her eyes, hair, head, ears, mouth, tongue, teeth, foot, and belly button, hands, fingers

*The girl is obsessed with shoes...she loves carrying them around and even tries to put it on her own foot.

*She LOVES her belly button and doesn't like it when we put a onesie on her and she can't pull her shirt up to see her belly button after we get her dressed. It is actually kind of funny to watch her.

*she is really good at using her sign language. She has added eat, and juice to her "vocabulary". She can also show us when she wants her hands cleaned by holding them out when she is in her chair or when we come in from playing outside.

*She can finally get herself to a standing position! This is a very recent accomplishment...she had done it a few times, but didn't realize that she had done it. She became a master at crawling over to a wall or piece of furniture to pull herself up.

*She started My Gym last week and she absolutely loves it! I am just so glad she is able to do something of her own and can now make her own friends!

*She is still a fabulous sleeper....one nap a day during the week and 2 on the weekends usually and in bed between 7:00 and 7:30.

*She has 6 teeth now and is working on 2 more on the bottom and one of her molars is visible and very puffy!

*She is a busy, busy girl! She is always moving and must carry something in her hands when she is walking or she is pushing something.

*She learned how to drink out of a straw...she thinks she is very "big girl" doing this. She gets a huge Landry grin on her face when she finishes.

*she loves "Ring Around the Rosie" and can turn her self in a circle and loves to fall down!

*Fit throwing....boy can she throw a fit! If you have ever heard her scream....you know what I am talking about. Throwing herself on the floor, kicking screaming....the whole nine yards! We are working on learning that "screaming doesn't work and you won't get your way". This is a tough one but she will learn that Mommy and Daddy will not give in...it just must take us a while!

This girl is a ton of fun and soooo happy! We love what she is learning and the little person that she is! We look forward to all the fun times ahead with this little punkin!
