Bobby and Ashton had their annual date today...the Daddy Daughter Dance. They both really enjoy the entire experience. This was their third year to go. Since we are a traditions kind of bunch, there are some Daddy-Daughter traditions to go along with the special event.Ashton loves to go shopping for her dress...Daddy must also accompany us (this is a tradition)...there is no way we would buy a dress if Daddy didn't love it. She also wants to make sure her Daddy will be able to "match her". The ultimate test on whether or not we buy a dress....how does it twirl.
She tried on 4 dresses. She does a preliminary twirl in the dressing room, then proceeds to the giant 3 way mirror...does a twirl there and then she walks out for Daddy to see. She had two dresses that she loved....this one and a black one with pink trim. She she wore pink and black last year, she she decided to go for the all black super twirly dress. Boy was this one proud little girl!

As another tradition, Daddy always gets her a corsage...

They are ready to go...Mommy always gets to drop them off and pick them up since parking is kind of crazy. Landry did not like that they both got out of the car. As soon as the door shut...she started crying and cried for about 10 minutes. She was so happy when we picked them up!
Another tradion....dinner at Cantina Laredo!
We were using my diaper bag camera to take the pictures at dinner and Ashton really wanted to take a picture. So on our way out to the car, Ashton chose the spot and took a picture. Isn't the wind in my hair lovely and the fact that Landry was totally not interested nice?!They had a terrific time together. At the dance, they took a formal picture, had a snack, danced and visited with many friends who were also there.
We are so glad you had fun Ashton....Daddy loves it as much as you do if not more. Mommy loves that you get to do this with Daddy! You are so special to us and we love you bunches!

Oh my goodness, I just love this tradition. I remember the previous posts about this, and it always makes me think, I NEED A GIRL. MATT NEEDS A GIRL. this is just too precious. The twirl test is so so cute!!

I LOVE this tradition! They look so sweet together. She is going to cherish this time with her daddy as he teaches her what a real "date" should be like. He's teaching her so much maybe without even realizing it! Love it!
She is getting so big...and she looks beautiful. I hope they had fun again this year. What a great tradition.
