uhhhh...yeah....you are looking at her crib and those are Landry's TEETH MARKS!!! How do you like that....she is using her crib for teething! I think she is really proud of what those little things in her mouth can do.
At first it was just a couple of little marks and we thought nothing of it...well maybe we should have done something about it then and her crib rail wouldn't look like this. She knows she isn't supposed to do it...we tell "no, no, no ma'am" and she looks at us with those giant blues like "who me?".
Some days when I put her down for nap she goes straight to sleep and some days she needs a wind down session or something because she will cry and throw all 3 binks out of her bed and talk, then she gets quiet or really cries when she is ready to go to sleep but her binks aren't in her bed anymore.
So the other day she had quieted down pretty fast...I heard no noise on her monitor so I thought she was asleep....nope! After a bit I heard her fussing so I went in to get her binks....I could tell she had been chewing on her crib because she had teeny tiny pieces of brown around her mouth. I called Bobby in there and we both told her "no, no, no ma'am. We don't chew on your crib". She looked at me with those blue eyes, put our her bottom lip and cried with her head on my shoulder...she knew she had done something wrong and she had hurt feelings. She gave the biggest and tightest hug she could. Then...she reached out for Daddy...and gave him the biggest and tightest hug (this completely melts Bobby). She just stayed there for a bit. Then she went and took a nap like a champ! Cute Little Stinker!!
So now I have been on the hunt for something to put on her crib rail to protect it from further destruction. Her crib has a really thick rail...it will actually be her foot board when we convert it to her twin bed. They don't make anything for a thick rail...so now we will have to make it look beau-teee-ful by wrapping a towel or something around it. Won't that be pretty!
We didn't have this problem with Ashton, so it didn't even occur to us that Landry would do it. Boy oh Boy....what are we in for with sweet Lan-Lan P?!
