BAY-LOR, BAYLOR BEARS FIGHT...

Ashton Bryce, RN
Wednesday: Career Dress Day
The kids were supposed to wear what they wanted to be when they grow up and tell how college would help them to achieve that goal. Her first idea was to be a singer...but after thinking about it and realizing she didn't really need to go to college for that, she decided she wanted to be a nurse. When I asked her what kind of nurse she wanted to be, she responded with "the kind who helps kids and gives them shots and does stuff like that." So basically she wants to work in Dr. Newton's office!

I still can't get my picture to move so I can put text first so you will have excuse the randomness of this post...this is driving me crazy!!!
College Week was once again upon us! Ashton has always loved Baylor and has talked about going to Baylor since we can remember! She loves any opportunity she gets to wear her Baylor gear and especially at school! Here is the wrap up from College Week...
Our Future Baylor Bear..Sic 'Em Bears!
Thursday: College Shirt Day and Fight Songs
So really the kids were supposed to wear a college shirt on Friday but, First Grade was performing at FML and they had to wear something else for that so we sported her Baylor shirt on Thursday. The best part for her...her shirt is pink!
Friday: College Shirt and Hat Day
Since First Grade was performing they had to wear Red, White, and Blue. Ashton wore my pink Baylor hat with her patriotic ensemble!

All week long they had many activities to help the kids learn about some of the different colleges that are out there. The teachers wear college shirts one Thursday a month and for this week, the teachers decorated their classroom doors with their alma mater for a contest! Ashton was excited to see that many of the teachers at her school and her counselor are all Baylor grads!

In fact, she informed me that she and Macy would go to college together and they would be roommates. She even told me that when they move to Waco, we won't be going with her. I know I have said it a thousand times....she is growing up way too fast! She is only six and we are not ready to think about her moving off to college by herself just yet. It is hard enough realizing Bobby's brother is in college and I have a niece and a nephew who are headed that way next year! Oof!

She looks like a real nurse, complete with a badge! Love it! So fun! I'm glad she is so excited about college. She is getting so big though!
