12 Month Update for Landry...

Landry Paige...1 year pictures

The pictures above are just a few of the many pictures we had taken at Portrait Innovations for her one year pictures! She did great and we had fun getting them done!

So now~finally her 12 month update...this last month in her first year of life flew by so much faster than all the rest! We still can't believe she is one year old...our family has changed so much in the last year and we have loved every single second of it!

The chair pictures this month were hilarious...she knows when she is being silly and boy was she being silly! She was throwing herself all over the chair...it is a wonder I was able to keep her from from flinging herself out of the chair completely!
Our smiley girl...she still smiles ALL.THE.TIME and we love it. Her little face just lights up!
The only full body shot we got that was decent....
Being silly and just laughing at herself....
She has learned to pant like a dog, so of course she needed to demonstrate for the camera!
Daddy took this picture while she was looking at books in her room...she LOVES books and will look at them for long periods of time. She brings us books and always wants us to read to her. She actually points at things in the books and "talks" all about them!
She has mastered the art of getting in and out of her rocking chair...This was just after her nap...do you love the hair and no britches?

We took her to the doctor today for her well check...she did awesome! Still not afraid of her doctor, but this time she didn't love him listening to her heart with his stethoscope...she kept pushing his hand away. He said..."well she is doing a great job of pushing my hand away...she is strong!"

Here are her 12 months stats:
*weight: 18.7 (10-25%)
*height: 29.3 inches (75%)
*head: 17.5 inches (75%)

I was concerned about her weight...I was hoping for her to be 19 pounds. He said he is not worried so I didn't need to be worried. She is gaining weight and she has always been a little thing.

Things about Landry this month:
*She is still a very good eater...she will eat just about anything and lots of it!

*She is doing great with weaning....she is taking milk from her sippy cup and doesn't seem to miss being nursed at all. We (I mean she) are almost completely weaned...she is down to just one feeding a day now. It is bittersweet for me...I am glad she has having an easy time with it, but it is hard for me that she is "done" with me.

*Her newest word is: Buster and says "Buh" and points at him. She actually does this with any dog. We are working on "dog" but she still wants to say "Buh". She also says book which is "bu" like book without the k. Even though it seems like they all sound the same, we know what she means because she is usually pointing or looking at what she is talking about.

*She loves to look at pictures of her and Ashton...she points and "talks" to them whenever she sees them. We are working on names.

*She loves to watch our mouths and and then tries to copy the sounds we are making.

*She isn't walking or interested in doing it on her own. She can practically run when she is holding onto furniture or walls or fingers, but won't even try on her own.

*She is really getting funny...she likes to bend over with her head on the ground and look through her legs...she giggles and giggles when you look at her through her legs.

*She is in the "launching phase"...she throws everything out of her stroller or chair.

*She has learned to nod her head (and her whole body does it too) yes and no.

*She has learned to do the sign for "please" and does it when she wants something...I love when she does this. When she really wants something, she does it faster and more times and with both hands.

*She has also learned the sign for "thank you" but doesn't enjoy that one as much as please. After all....using please usually gets her what she wants!

*She now has 5 teeth...2 on the bottom and 3 on top. She has 1 more working its way in on the top and we can see the other 2 on the bottom.

*She is getting much better at blowing kisses...she puts her hand up to her mouth and makes the kissing noise but doesn't blow them yet...we are working on it though!

Landry has done a lot of changing this month and we love to watch her experience new things for the first time and how proud she gets of herself when she sees that we are proud of her. She likes to clap for herself. We love her sweet little giggle, her toothy grin, the way she likes to crunch things between her teeth and the way she is so happy! She is such a sweet girl on her way to being a toddler...wow!

once again, i say...oh how i HEART these posts! i think that my favorite 12mo "milestone" has to be the nodding her head yes and no! it's too funny and cute for words! landry is a complete hoot, and i can't wait to watch her sweet personality continue to grow and develop! :)

i too love these posts... especially b/c jagger and landry are so close in age. all of this is so familiar, i love it!

she's sweet as ever, and what I would do for Jagger to "pose" and "smile" the way Landry does!? It's awesome!!
