Tree Trimming...

We normally put up Christmas trees the weekend after Thanksgiving. Well…we got it up we just didn’t get it decorated until the Wednesday after Thanksgiving! Ashton was about to come out of her skin wanting to put her tree up in her room and decorate it. She LOVES to have her tree in her room with all of HER ornaments and she puts them on wherever she wants…she is always so proud of her tree when it is finished. She was very concerned that Landry didn’t have one in her room this year. We told her she would have one next year…she is a little young for one in her room right now. That seemed to satisfy her.

As I was handing Ashton her ornaments, she would say, “Oh, I remember this one, I got it from ______ and this is my favorite.” Then she would get to the next one and that would be her favorite…so basically she loves every single ornament!

Once she had every single ornament on in just the right place….she stood back and admired her tree. Then it was on to decorate our big tree…the great parents we are didn’t get any pictures of this tree trimming experience. One of us was on “Landry Duty” and the other was getting the hooks on the ornaments and taking them out of the boxes so Ashton could put them on.

Landry has not shown any interest in the tree….YET! Now, we have it set up by the front window in our office. This also has doors we can close so she doesn’t get many opportunities to go in there…and when she does, she would much rather play with the mail or other other things in the area. We shall see how long this lasts!
