To Grammy & Grampy's House We Go...

The weekend after my birthday, Bobby went to Pittsburgh to visit a friend and go to the Cowboy game….in.the.freezing.cold!!! The girls and I went to visit my parents in Lorena for the weekend and had a fun time.

After we had breakfast on Saturday morning, I got both girls and myself ready (shower with make-up and all) packed the car and were on our way by 9:30! Pretty impressive I must say! Both girls were out like a light super quick and slept for most of the way. We got to Grammy & Grampy’s and had lunch before Grampy went to work. Then Lan-Lan P needed a nap so Ashton got to go with Grammy to her new office at Baylor to get a few things ready for the Women’s Basketball game later that night.

So Ashton went early with Grammy to help her get things ready and I met them at the game. Landry and I went to run a few errands and grabbed some dinner at one of Landry’s favorite places….Chick Fil-A. Then it was on to the Ferrell Center for Landry’s first Lady Bear Basketball game. Ashton LOVES to watch the Lady Bears so we were hoping Landry would too!

I am pretty sure she would have loved the game it if the game hadn’t started at her bedtime. Poor planning on Mommy’s part. Next time we will try to attend an afternoon game. She did okay…not great…we had to leave at halftime. I couldn’t tell you anything that happened in the first half because Landry wanted to be moving! Fun times! Anyway, Ashton stayed with Grammy and had a blast running around the court after the game with her cousin Brodie. She was one worn out little girl when she got home!

So Sunday morning, Grammy made Ashton her all time favorite breakfast….pancakes! Then it was time to tag along with Grammy to her weekly trip to Walmart but not after taking a tour of Grammy’s new office and the changes that I hadn’t seen to the Ferrell Center. It is amazing what winning a national championship will do for a program. The facility is AWESOME!

While at Walmart, Grammy gave Ashton $20…ten dollars to save and ten dollars to spend. The first order of business was for Miss Ashton to decide what she wanted to buy. After wandering a while…she remembered the HSM umbrella she had been wanting. So she found it and some “pretty” pink sparkly crimped hair that you put in your ponytail and she was set. She was so stinkin’ excited!

Here are some pictures from Sunday...

Then we had “Sunday Dinner” a little early. My family gets together every Sunday for dinner and I always hate that I don’t get to be there….but the fam came over early so we had a lunch instead. My mom made a tri-trip roast…my fave and the only roast I like. We hated to leave, but we had to get home so I could get the girls bathed and in bed since Ashton had school the next day.

We loved our trip to visit Grammy and Grampy and it is always a bonus to see everyone else while we are there too!
