And the Award Goes To...

Our first grader received a special award last Friday at her schools’s Friday Morning Live! Each week the CAMP (Computer, Art, Music, PE) teachers give out an award to a student from the entire school. This week Ashton got the “Art Student of the Week” award. The award is given out more on attitude and behavior and effort when the students are in their class.

The one downfall is that the CAMP teachers don’t let the parents know ahead of time that the kiddos are getting this award, so we weren’t there to see her get it. I usually try to go to FML if Bobby can hang with Lan-Lan P, but since we had just dropped him off at the airport for his trip to Pittsburgh, I wasn’t able to go. Bobby and I both were so upset that we didn’t see her get it. This is twice now that she has gotten an award and we haven’t been there to see it. She told us… “It’s OKAY, don’t worry about it guys. Really it’s okay!”

We are so proud of this girl and just knew that she would be getting the CAMP award! Way to go Ashton…you make us so proud every single day! Keep up the good work!
