11 Months Old....

Landry Paige...11 months old in her rocking chair!

This is what you get at 11 months old...standing up on furniture...a battle we are working on
The full body shot...
Look at that hair....

Holy moly….Landry is REALLY 11 months old! We will be having her FIRST birthday in just a few short weeks. We are really loving this stage with her….

She is so funny! She loves to perform for us especially at the dinner table. She likes to randomly do things like touchdown and keeps doing it until we copy her. She smiles so big and claps…it is very funny!

She LOVES the remote control and the telephone….she can even tell which is real and which is fake. She has an old remote control that is now a toy…the Leonards used it for their girls and gave it to us for Landry. She doesn’t love that one…only the real one. Same thing for the phone….we have a million old cell phones and telephones for her to play with….she knows the difference and only wants the real ones.

She knows when she is getting/doing something she isn’t supposed to. She starts smiling (as always) and starts to kind of giggle as she gets closer to whatever it is. Here is an example…if the remote is on the couch and she discovers that it is within her reach, she starts cruising over to it giggling the whole way!

She is super fast at cruising and loves to walk holding on to our fingers. Ashton LOVES to hold Landry’s hands and walk her around. She walks around pretty good holding on to only one of our fingers. It won’t be long before she is off and walking around!

She can stand on her own for a few seconds…but when she figures out what she is doing, she immediately sits down. When she is playing standing up, she is usually only touching the furniture for comfort.

She doesn’t like to be in a room by herself…she has been my shadow for the last few weeks. She will play won-der-fully by herself….IF there is someone in the room with her. We are working on shaking that habit…mommy can’t anything done.

She can say a few words (actually sounds that sound like the words): “nah”=snack, “lun”=lunch, “ba”=ball, hi, bye, “dada”=daddy-her favorite word, “mama”

She says them over and over at the appropriate time. Here’s an example…If we ask her if she wants a snack, she smiles so big and gets all excited and repeats “nah, nah, nah” until you get her in her chair and give her a snack.

Bathtime is her FAVE...

She absolutely LOVES the bath tub! When we ask her if she wants a bath…she crawls as fast as her little arms and legs with go. She stands by the tub and tries to climb in even though her legs aren’t long enough. She plays and plays and splashes and splashes.

She has the highest pitch scream/squeal that she does when she is both mad, or you are fast enough with the food, when she is happy. It is so loud, it hurts our ears!

Daddy has taught her to growl so if you ask her what a lion says, she growls. She also does this if you ask her what a duck or dog says.

If we ask her where her hair is she can point to it. She can also do belly button and ears. We have been working on nose FOREVER and she still doesn’t get it.

She can cover her eyes and play peek-a-boo. She started covering ears and now she has got it. This is one of our favorite things she does!

She LOVES patty cake, and the “Clap, Clap Your Hands song”.

She LOVES books. She spends a lot of time in her room taking every single book out of her basket and looking at them. She is just like her big sister!

One of her favorite games to play with Ashton is “I’m Gonna Get You”. Ashton crawls around the couches and pops out to get her. Landry watches to see where Ashton is coming from and squeals and giggles every.single.time!

She still loves her some food! We still call her “BP” for bottomless pit. She pretty much eats what we are eating for dinner these days and she has no more baby food out of a jar.

She only has 3 teeth…two on bottom and one on top. She does have four more on the way….oof!

She gives the best baby hugs ever! Daddy even gets them! She is also learning to blow kisses better. She can actually get her hand to her mouth but that is as far as she goes! Cute. Cute. Cute!

Landry Paige…you are so much fun and we love having you in our family! We love watching you grow and develop each day! You are our smiley girl!
