This last week Ashton’s school participated in National Red Ribbon Week. This is a campaign to help kids learn at an early age that drugs and alcohol are bad for you. They teach the kids that it is okay to say no to drugs. Each school chooses fun activities and crafty sayings to help the kids learn to say no to drugs. Ashton had her first taste of it last year and really didn’t know what to expect…this year when she heard they were celebrating Red Ribbon Week, she was so excited. Here are some pictures from her week…
Monday~ Wear Sweats
Mommy wasn’t on the ball for this picture so I will describe what she was wearing. She wore her black Halloween shirt (since she wasn’t going to be able to wear it on Friday and we were carving pumpkins that evening) that says “Boo” on it with her black yoga pants. Her hair was in piggy tails with orange bows. Sorry for not having a picture!
Wearing red showed they supported "The Red Ribbon Week" campaign.
Ashton decided she couldn’t wear one of her baseball caps…they weren’t crazy. So she decided on my cowboy hat from the hoedown. More than anything she wanted to wear her new, softy, black boots and they matched the hat.
I wasn’t home Wednesday night to choose the outfit so Daddy and Ashton chose this one. I would have chosen one where the silly socks matched what she was wearing. I was quickly informed that wasn’t how “Silly Sock Day” was supposed to be. How Silly of me!
She chose to wear her Alabama jersey and her pink slippers. Her school wanted to make sure there were no costumes worn to school and this was to show they were on the same team in saying NO to Drugs.
