A Surprise for Ashton...

Last Saturday my mom (Grammy) and my grandma (Ninny) came up for Ashton’s game, but the best part was that they surprised her. My Mom’s weekends are usually pretty busy this time of year working on her media guide and working the Baylor football games so she doesn’t get up here much. She really wanted to come watch Ashton play softball and last Saturday she didn’t have a football game and she is far enough along on her media guide for women’s basketball that she thought she would be able to come up for her game.

Around 9:15 our doorbell rings and Ashton says, “Mommy who is ringing our doorbell on a Saturday morning?” We opened the door and she was stunned and so excited that not only did Grammy come for her game but Ninny came too!

She did great at her game and just LOVED that she had some family there cheering her on. This just makes me wish even more that our parents lived closer. It was a very special day for her! They stayed and had lunch with us and then they headed home.

Thanks Grammy and Ninny for leaving your house super early to make it up here for a 10:00 game! We hope Grampy can come next time…we missed him!
