Landry is 9 months old! For some reason I am having a hard time with this one! Maybe it is because I was pregnant with her for 9 months having her grow and move inside of me and now she has been in this world and out of me for 9 months! Not to mention that the next time we go to the doctor, she will be ONE YEAR OLD!
This month (like all the others) has been really fun for us. She has discovered so many new things and mastered some others that she had only begun in the last month. Here are some of the things Landry is doing and learning this month…
This month (like all the others) has been really fun for us. She has discovered so many new things and mastered some others that she had only begun in the last month. Here are some of the things Landry is doing and learning this month…
~she has discovered that she can get to every room in the house now. Gone are the days of putting her in a room to go put laundry in real quick. She uses that as “lets see how fast I can get somewhere” time.
~She still isn’t crawling on all fours, but she has the commando crawl down to a super fast science…there really isn’t any need to change it…she gets where she needs to fast.
~She can push herself to a sitting position from lying down. I discovered this one morning when I went to get her out of her bed. She was sitting up playing with her fish. It took several days before any of us actually saw her do it. She would just end up that way.
~She pulls herself to a standing position and climbs up anyone and anything. Holding onto Landry’s hands is one Ashton’s favorite things to do with her these days.
~She can fake cough…it is too funny. Not sure how she figured this one out. No one has had a cough and we don’t walk around doing it.
~She can make a clicking noise with her tongue on the roof of her mouth. I am not really sure how to describe it….but I love to hear her on the monitor make this noise!
~ when she is looking for Ashton she yells really loud the short a sound and looks to Ashton’s door.
~She can wave “hi” and say “hiiiii”. She can also wave “bye” but doesn’t say anything yet.
~She can clap her hands and she says “ayyyyy” when she does it. She was doing it at Ashton’s softball game tonight because everyone else was doing it. Too cute!

~Her faves right now are: when you blow kisses to her and put her hand on her mouth and say “mmmooooah”, she loves balls especially beach balls, and the plastic play food from Ashton’s little kitchen, banging on things is another fave especially her high chair tray.
~This girl also loves FOOD! She is a bottomless pit…she will eat anything you put on her tray. If you eat something, she thinks she needs something too. The only veggies she eats out of a jar now are green beans and the mixed veggies. She eats real sweet potatoes, squash, carrots, peas, and avocado (all obviously cooked to super softness she can gum…we still have no teeth). She loves chicken and cheerios. Now that we got the ok from our doctor, we will expand her pallet and hope she will take after her Big Sis and not be a picky eater!
~She LOVES to read books. Her faves right now are So Big, Brown Bear, Brown Bear, and 5 Little Ladybugs.
"Reading" one of her favorite books...
