97 Degrees....

...was the temperature in our house today!!! Our air conditioner went out yesterday and luckily for us we have the best friends in the world to rescue us!

We had gone to breakfast with the Leonards on Sunday morning and then on to Academy Sports to get Ashton some pads for riding a bike with no training wheels (yes, can you believe it?!) and some stuff for softball which she starts this week. When we arrived home, our house was a bit on the warm side. Our air conditioner had started making funny noises on Friday but seemed to be okay until Sunday. The Leonards offered for us to come over and hang out and I took them up on it for what I thought would be a couple of hours since the AC guy said he would be here in 2 hours. So the girls and I left around 2:00 and my poor and wonderful husband stayed in the hot house waiting for the guy. Well...let me just tell you that we just got home tonight around 8:00!

The Leonards let us crash at their house and our other frineds Nathan and Jill let Bobby come over for dinner and bring our stinky boy Buster to cool off for a while on Sunday evening while waiting for the guy. At 8:00 he came over and said we needed a new motor and he would be back sometime today to fix it. That sometime was of course the end of the day.

Macy, Ashton, and Carly had a blast and didn't want to separate tonight when it was time for us to go home...I am so glad they like each other so much!

We just want to say that we love the Leonards for taking all four of us in (including a 6 month old who took over Carly's room and crib). Jodi and Bill were digging through closets to get the bumper for Carly's crib and trying to find jammies and socks for Landry...so unnecessary but super sweet and I love them for it. We also truly appreciate the Mitchells and know that any of our friends would do the same for us in a heartbeat! We are truly grateful and very blessed to have such wonderful friends!

I had planned on finishing my vacation post (that I know everyone is waiting so patiently for and probably getting tired of checking my blog with no updates) on Sunday night. This no AC thing threw a wrench in my plans. It will be done tomorrow for sure!
