Anyway, our “chunky punkin” is getting bigger and this stage is so much fun for all of us. Lots of new things are happening around here…
She is learning to sit up by herself. Ashton’s new favorite thing is to count how many seconds Landry can sit up before she starts to topple. It is so funny because she will be sitting up, get excited, kick her feet and rock back and forth…this brings falling over.
She is such a happy baby and smiles ALL the time! One of my favorite things is to watch Ashton play with Landry and hear them laughing. Landry starts to belly laugh and giggle which makes Ashton laugh and giggle…that is such a sweet sound!
She has learned to roll herself over from her tummy to her back. From back to tummy was a breeze for her…tummy to back was MUCH more difficult. Until a few days ago, she only liked to be on her tummy for playtime and NOT for sleeping. She would roll herself over to her tummy and get mad. She couldn’t figure out how to get her arm out of the way so she could roll back over. I was so afraid she was going to dislocate her shoulder because she would have it straight out and kept trying to roll…that frustrated her because it just didn't work. She would wake herself up in the middle of night and naps each time this happened. I would roll her over and all would be fine. Now when she rolls herself to her tummy she actually likes to sleep that way…and if not, she can roll herself back over.
Now that she can roll…that is what she does. The blanket on the floor is now just for holding toys because she doesn’t stay on it! We call her “Roller Baby” or “Rolley Polie Olie”.

Sweet sisters playing together...LOVE it!
She LOVES to put her foot in her mouth...even while eating cereal!
My non-napper is now a napper!!!! Wooo-hoooo! I have been working on a nap routine with her for a couple of months now. I had to find one that I wouldn’t have to wake her to go pick up Ashton from school. I had to plan for a 2 hour nap which meant she had to be asleep no later than 12:30. I thought we would NEVER get to this point but we are. I feed her at 11:00ish and then lay her down and she is even putting herself to sleep!!! After she is down for her nap, Ashton and I have lunch together. There were days I would spend what seemed like all afternoon trying to get her to nap…it is also quite difficult when Daddy works from home.
She is still being fed every 3 hours but I can tell she is trying to stretch it to 4 hours... sometimes she does go 4 and that is wonderful! I think I will have won the “Time Lottery” with 4 hour feedings and naps! Wow!! Around 7:00pm she thinks she is ready for bed so we have a bath on bath-nights and jammies, story and songs, then I feed her and put to her bed. She sleeps until around 5:00 am…I feed her and she goes back to sleep until around 8:00. We have cereal and then she eats either around 11:00 or when we get home from Stroller Fit on Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays. Its time for nap then she eats when she wakes up (this feeding doesn’t really excite her much…she would rather look around and see what Ashton is doing) then we run any errands needed and/or play. She has her cereal again as her supper then I feed her (this feeding depends on how much she eats at her afternoon feeding). If it seems like all I do is feed her, some days it literally feels that way. She loves to be outside and we usually go sit on the patio after supper.

Her Favorites this month:
*ANYTHING she can chew on...Ashton started calling her teething toys we keep in the fridge "chew toys" and that has kind of stuck.
*Her blue elephant rattle
*Her cow toy the Leonards gave her
*Her blankie Miss Jill made her with lots of tags on it
*Her favorite book is "Baby Faces"
*Her stuffed yellow and purple giraffe rattle (it was Ashton's when she was a baby)
