Jumping Queen

Yesterday we had a special treat….Grammy came to visit!!! My mom had a baby shower to attend in Coppell (which is about 30 minutes from us) today so she came up yesterday and spent the night with us. Ashton was sooooo excited. In fact, yesterday before she went to school she was asking what time Grammy would be here and I told her I wasn’t sure. She said, “Well, if Grammy gets here before I get out of school, I don’t mind if she comes to pick me up. Really, it is okay with me if she comes to pick me up, I don’t mind”. She said it about 3 more times before she left. Luckily, Grammy arrived at around 2:00 and Ashton doesn’t get out until 3:00. It was such a pretty day thatGrammy, and Landry and I walked to get Ashton. Having Grammy here AND getting to walk home made Ashton’s day. On top of that, Grammy got to choose where we went for dinner and she chose Pei-Wei (Ashton’s absolute favorite restaurant that isn’t chick fil-a). Not only that but Grammy slept on an air mattress on the floor of Ashton’s room. What an exciting day for that little girl! This morning while Landry and Daddy slept in, Us big girls played the game Trouble and Ashton won. Grammy is a great gal!

When we got home from supper last night, we went outside in the backyard so Ashton could show Grammy some of her tricks…hula hooping and jump roping. I got the camera out and took some pictures…our house is blocking the sun so it isn’t the greatest picture.
Here is the “Jumping Queen” in action

Earlier in the day Grammy had discovered a baby bunny sitting on our patio. We found the hole where it stays. It is really kind of cute. Daddy doesn’t think so because they eat our flowers. Here is another reason Buster isn’t a normal dog and the bunnies know it…All winter we had the mommy bunny sitting in this same hole in the middle of our backyard. Buster pays no attention to the bunny so the bunny has stayed. He could care less and most dogs would make a run for the bunny. Nope…not our sweet Buster!
