Landry's Arrival

As most of you know...Landry has arrived! She was born on Monday the 7th at 1:17 pm. She weighed in at a whopping 6 lbs and 19 inches. She is bitty but healthy!

We brought her home yesterday and so far we are all adjusting pretty well. We absolutely love having her in our family...we are truly blessed to have 2 beautiful daughters!

Ashton is a very proud big sister and handling it like a pro (so far). She is very helpful and gentle with her. When Landry makes a noise, Ashton is the first one to see what she needs...nothing makes her happier than to put the binky in Landry's mouth. This morning was a big deal because she got to hold Landry before she went to school. On Monday when Ashton came to see Landry for the first time, Landry wasn't back from the nursery yet so it was pure torture to wait any longer for her sister to come. In the meantime Bobby and I had some "Big Sister" gifts for her and she was able to open those while she waited. One of the gifts was a shirt and she immediately took off the shirt she was wearing to put on the new shirt. Then she wore it to school on Tuesday morning...she got out of the car and pushed her sweater aside to make sure everyone could see what her shirt said.

The first time I needed to feed Landry while Ashton was around, Ashton said "I can feed her mommy!" I told her that Mommy needed to feed her and she asked how. Once I told her, Ashton decided she needed no part in that. She said to my mom, "Grammy, let's go somewhere." My mom tried to convince her to stay and watch and Ashton grabbed my mom's hand and said, "Grammy, let's go look at the babies in the nursery". By the second time I needed to feed her, she stayed in the room and was not phased at all.

Yesterday when Landry was crying while I was trying to feed her, Ashton came to check on us and came out saying, "Don't worry it is just a drama queen in there!"

Ashton & Landry
Thank you so much for all the kinds words and gifts that we have recieved...we are so blessed to have so many wonderful people in our lives. I am going to finish with some more pictures. Right now she Landry is "sunning" by the window trying to help the touch of jaundice she has go away.
